To The Polls: Understanding Roe v. Wade and the Threat to Abortion (with Sen. Molly Cook)
This is the 2nd episode of our voter education series for queer women: Made It Out (to the polls), in collaboration with LPAC. This episode, Texas State Senator Molly Cook and our host Mal share their personal stories of getting abortions in Texas, the stigmas and misconceptions that came with it, and the status of abortion laws today. Senator Cook explains the Roe V. Wade case and why it was overturned, and multiple celebrity cameos such as Shannon Beveridge, Jonica Booth, and more, help explain political concepts!
We want Made It Out (to the polls) to be a safe, collaborative and engaged space where we can all discuss so we invite conversation in the comments but, as always, we ask that you do so with care.
This series is a collaborative project between Made It Out Media and LPAC, and was produced by Mathilde Jourdan, Jacqueline Toboni and Michelle Atwood. The episode was edited by Mathilde Jourdan with cameos edited by Rachel Samples and Amber Rivera. Thank you for watching!!
